Ducati North America Welcomes 'Kentucky Kid' Nicky Hayden To The Family In Style
VIP Charity Event at Southern California Ducati January 23 Celebrates Nicky's Official Arrival
Cupertino, Calif (14 January 2009) - Ducati North America announces today it will host a welcome bash for the Ducati Marlboro Team's newest MotoGP rider, Nicky Hayden, on January 23rd.
The event will bring Ducatisti and Motorcycle racing enthusiasts together for a chance to welcome Ducati's first-ever American rider to the MotoGP team. The event will be held at Southern California Ducati's newly redesigned dealership and include a silent charity auction benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
"We are thrilled to have an American rider on the Ducati Marlboro MotoGP Team and look forward to giving him a proper U.S. welcome to the Ducati family," said Michael Lock, CEO Ducati North America. "Nicky is a very talented World Champion and racing fans will look forward to cheering him on."
Doors open at 7:30 PM where guests will have a chance to take part in a Q&A with Nicky Hayden while bidding on items during the silent auction. Some of the highlighted auction items include:
- Roland Sands custom art piece
- Ducati helmet from Troy Lee
- Oakley Sunglasses
- Limited edition Nicky Hayden Tissot watch
- Casey Stoner signed helmet
- Nicky Hayden signed Lavazza Espresso Machine
Additionally, a high-energy fashion show will begin at 9:00 pm to showcase Ducati's Italian flare for style. Event is located at:
